Dr. Ronald Perry is Director of the Gavel Center for Restorative Research and Clinical Professor at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.  He owns and manages a private general dentistry practice, Meridian Dental Associates, in South Weymouth, MA.

He has authored over 25 articles and 60 abstracts dealing with a  

variety of dental topics such as bonding, composite wear,

prosthodontic materials and technology, whitening, and dental

laboratory communication. Dr. Perry is a Fellow in the Academy of

General Dentistry, the American College of Dentists, the

International College of Dentists and the Academy of Dentistry

International. He graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. From

Boston College and earned his doctorate in dentistry from Boston

University.  He completed his M.S. in Dental Research at Tufts

University School of Dental Medicine.

Synopsis: These lectures will show how a modern dental practice is using digital workflows every day. Integration of CBCT and intraoral scans to treat, plan and place implants, utilizing a surgical guide. Use of 3D printers to help create diagnostic wax-ups and surgical guides. Digital communication with dental labs who are working in the digital world.

• Discuss Dentsply-Sirona CBCT technology and its uses in every-day dentistry

• Discuss integration of CBCT images and CEREC intra-oral scans to create a digital workflow for implant placement and restoration

• Different types of surgical guides, milled versus printed guides

• How to leverage this technology to plan, place and restore implants in the esthetic zone. How to use temporary

  restorations to create proper tissue adaptation and emergence profiles

• Discuss the different types of abutments available. Tibases vs. Custom Abutments. Totally digital workflow without the need for impressions
